Dear Piscataway Families,
Thanks to a mild winter, we were fortunate enough to get through the season without having to use any of our snow days. On Thursday, April 10, our Board of Education approved a change to our school calendar to allow us to use the two snow days.
The district and all schools will be closed on Friday, May 23. Schools were already scheduled to be closed on Monday, May 26 for Memorial Day, therefore this change creates a four-day weekend. Please have a happy and safe Memorial Day break as we prepare for our final month of the school year!
Our second snow day will be used to close all schools on Tuesday, June 10. This will help to ensure the safety of our schools on Primary Election Day, as most of our schools are used as public polling places. District offices will be open on this day.
Thank you.
Dr. Johanna S. Ruberto
Interim Superintendent of Schools
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Today was my first day as the Interim Superintendent of Piscataway Township Schools. I am humbled that our Board of Education entrusted me to lead this effective school community through this period of transition.
Dr. Ranelli is to be acknowledged for his years of dedication and leadership as superintendent and assistant superintendent. He is an “authentic” educational leader. Dr. Ranelli was generous and specific as I transition to the position. His dedication to the children was evident.
Together we will maintain the vision of goals of Piscataway Township Schools and serve the children in our care.
Sincerely,
Johanna S. Ruberto, Ed.D.
Interim Superintendent
