We are so happy to see this wonderful recognition for Jim Cullen, who was part of Piscataway High School first graduating class in 1960 and is one of the school’s greatest benefactors!
Mr. Cullen graduated from Rutgers in 1964 and went on to serve as president and CEO of Bell Atlantic, which became part of Verizon. But he never forgot where he came from, and in 2002 he created the Cullen Family Scholarship for Piscataway graduates who will attend Rutgers.
This year marks the 100th $10,000 scholarship awarded to deserving Piscataway graduates! A large endowment ensures that the scholarship will continue to be awarded for years to come.
An article on the website of the Rutgers Foundation celebrates Mr. Cullen’s years of service to his two alma maters, and to the 100 Piscataway students he has helped get their education at Rutgers.
