Congratulations to Piscataway High School freshman Chelsea Watkins, who set a new school record for girls shot put with a throw of 39 feet 0.5 inches! She beat the record of 38-8, which has stood since 2006.

Chelsea’s record-breaking performance came at the State Group 4 Championships on May 29 at Franklin High School, where she placed 6th, advancing to the State Meet of Champions on June 3.
