Music and art teachers visit museum to bond with artistic selves and one another
Our Visual & Performing Arts team had a enriching professional development experience on March 20 that helped them connect with their artistic selves and with one another!
Our art and music teachers started out with a fun team-building session of the Whitney Houston Challenge, where contests try to hit a drum at the exact moment a drum sounds in the song “I Will Always Love You.”
They then set off to the Princeton University Art Museum, where teachers received resources that supported their individualized exploration of the art in the museum. They also participated in a docent-guided tour and collaborative discussion.
Teachers were also provided with a guide to arts and culture in Princeton and had a chance to set off on their own to explore community art, sculptures, and landscape architecture.
Thanks to Supervisor of Visual & Performing Arts Rebekah Sterlacci for providing these opportunities to our staff.
