19 PHS seniors commended by National Merit Scholar program

Nineteen Piscataway High School have earned Commended Student status in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Commended Students are recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry. They are among the top 50,000 students nationwide in their performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
“Your performance on the qualifying test was outstanding, and recognition as a Commended Student is a credit to you, your parents and your high school,” reads a congratulatory letter sent to each of the Commended Students. “We offer you our best wishes with the hope that being named a Commended Student in the National Merit Program will broaden your horizons and encourage you to develop your potential to the fullest.”
