September 2017 Message

Dear Piscataway Students and Families:

Welcome back to school! I hope you had a summer filled with fun, relaxation, and new discoveries!

I also hope that this new school year will offer every student exciting challenges and open many doors to learning – including in unanticipated and inspiring ways.

I am very proud of this district and our students and staff, as we continue to grow and inspire each other to achieve our best. Our students continue to win awards and recognition in academics, arts and athletics. Our graduates follow their dreams to college, the military and the workforce. As as a district, our work is being recognized on state and national levels. In the 2016-2017 school year, the District received these prestigious awards:

Our You, I, We Inspire campaign was named Grand Prize winner by the National School Board Association, for its combined focus on academic achievement and character education, and the program’s ability to be replicated throughout the country.

New Jersey School Boards presented its School Leader award to the Piscataway High School-Rutgers Biomedical Program, where PHS students can earn up to 14 Rutgers credits while completing their high school degree.

District Administrator Magazine named Piscataway a District of Distinction for our ESL program, the third time in two years this program has received national honors.
Piscataway Schools was recently ranked #60 in New Jersey by, a nationally respected website that profiles every K-12 school, college, and neighborhood in the U.S., outscoring 300 other districts in the state.

I look forward to this new school year, and to all we will accomplish together as You, I, We Inspire.
