Dear Piscataway Families:

On Wednesday, April 14, we begin our fourth and final marking period for the school year. While this year posed significant challenges, it also encouraged us to think differently, and opened us up to new ways of teaching and learning that we can adapt to our benefit when we return to the classroom fulltime. I continue to be grateful for the support our Piscataway families have continued to show for their schools and to each other.

Change to the 2020-2021 Calendar
At last night’s Board of Education meeting, the Board approved a change to the 2020-2021 calendar. Due to the fact that the District only used one of two reserved snow days this year, the Board designated Tuesday, June 1, as a day off from school. This extends our Memorial Day Weekend to a four-day break.

Monday and Friday Early Dismissal and Office Hours
At this time, we will continue to maintain early dismissals with teacher office hours on Mondays and Fridays.

Tutorial/Remediation Programs
This month, the District begins targeted remedial instruction for students who have been identified as having learning gaps that may have been amplified by the remote learning environment. This remedial instruction is designed to bring students up to grade level learning. Identified students have been contacted by their building principal. Should you have any questions about these programs, please reach out directly to your principal.
