Grandview School students kicked up their heels today as they kicked off the school year with a school-wide Dance-A-Thon. The kindergarten class had a special treat when they got to dance with the Grandview Gecko!
The fundraiser took in over $1000 for the school’s PBSIS (Positive Behavior System in Schools) program, which fosters an inclusive school community, and through a structured discipline system and positive reinforcement, instills a sense of pride, academic achievement and purpose for all students in every grade level. PBSIS is a collaboration between the New Jersey Department of Education and the Elizabeth M. Boggs Center and includes students and community members. The Grandview PBSIS team is comprised of Principal Baskerville, teachers and parents.
