Jeanne Bozzay had initially wanted to pursue art as a career and graduated with an art degree from Buffalo State. She returned to New Jersey and freelanced as an artist, at times creating architectural plans. A lifelong lover of reading and also being in need of more consistent work, Jeanne took an entry-level position at Rutgers working in its Library. She had decided to go back to school to study Medieval Art, but her academic trajectory changed and ultimately, while working in the library, she was able to attain her MLS degree from Rutgers. She spent twelve years working for AT&T performing data analysis and working on fraud protection. Her early professional library career included stints at the Highland Park and Middlesex Public Libraries. Twenty-six years ago she joined the Piscataway district as a librarian at Schor Middle School where she remained for twenty-two years. She then spent two years traveling between two Piscataway grammar schools, MLK and Arbor and finally landed at PHS for the last two years. Jeanne has two daughters of whom she is particularly proud. She and her husband love to travel, and she is looking forward to spending the next phase of her journey visiting some of the lesser-known nooks and crannies of the United States.
