Piscataway Township School District was honored three times at the 2023 New Jersey School Communication Awards on Monday, Oct. 23. Piscataway is one of just two districts in the state to win three awards.

The awards are given out by the New Jersey School Public Relations Association and were developed to recognize New Jersey’s professional school communicators and their community outreach programs that go above and beyond to disseminate important messages to their school communities.

“Congratulations to Piscataway Township Schools for setting the standard for effective school communications here in New Jersey,” said Paul Zeller, director of technology and communication at Pascack Valley Regional High School District and president of NJSPRA.

Piscataway’s awards included:

·      First Place in the Photography category for a happy photo of two students from Knollwood Elementary School making a new discovery while working together on a project. The students, Zain Patel and Anandita Gurjar, were third-graders at the time the photo was taken in October 2022.
