  The ESEA (Elementary/Secondary Education Act) waiver requires all schools not meeting APT (Annual Performance Targets) in any disaggregate group, to create an action plan to address these academic needs.  Piscataway Township Schools create school- based strategic plans and specify goals and action plans based on the Response to Intervention (RTI) framework.  These action plans incorporate both targeted and intensive interventions for students not meeting the growth target or proficiency score on state assessments.
Data informed instruction and researched based interventions, with progress monitoring, is provided to students by classroom/content teachers, special education teachers and support specialists.
